About this rebate
Attention: if you are eligible for FEMA assistance you must complete the entire FEMA process before applying for any additional assistance from Efficiency Vermont. Do not apply for Efficiency Vermont rebates until you have completed the FEMA process, or you risk forfeiting FEMA assistance.
- Flood Recovery rebates may be applied to multiple products, up to $10,000 per household.
- The incentive amount for any individual product provided by Efficiency Vermont is in addition to any FEMA assistance for the same product. The combined FEMA and Efficiency Vermont financial assistance will not exceed the cost of purchasing and installing the product.
- Flood Recovery rebates may be combined with standard incentive offers as long as the total combined incentive does not exceed the total purchase and installation cost. If you would like to apply for the standard incentive, please complete that application separately from the Flood Recovery incentive application.
- For residential customers only
- Must be new, installed in Vermont, and listed on the Qualifying Products List at the time of purchase. Used, rebuilt, or refurbished equipment is not eligible.

Moderate Income | $82,400 | $94,200 | $106,000 | $117,800 | $127,400 |
This table displays household income levels broken out by low-income and moderate-income. The income levels vary by county. The first pair of rows in this table are the low- and moderate-income levels for Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle counties. The second two rows are the low and moderate income levels for Addison County. The third pair of rows are for all other Vermont counties. The columns for each row contain the annual household income limit by household size. The household size ranges from 1 to 5 members of the household. The cell in this table that lines up with the county you live in, and your annual household income limit by household size, gives you the income amount that determines if you are eligible for the low income or the moderate income offer for this incentive program. For example, if there are 3 people in your household and you live in Addison County, you would find the cells that line up with the Addison County row and the 3 people in household column. The income level for low income in this example is $71,400, and the income level for moderate income is $107,040. If your annual household income is at or below $71,400, you qualify for the low-income incentive. If your annual household income is above $71,400 but at or below $107,040, you qualify for the moderate-income program.
