Car dealerships enrolled in the EEN EV Dealer Program can get up to $600 for each new or used EV sold or leased to a Vermont customer (max 50 sales per year or $30,000)

To participate in this program, your dealership must be enrolled in the Efficiency Excellence Network (EEN).
The EEN is a statewide network of businesses and industry leaders committed to making Vermont more efficient and more affordable. Enrollment is free, and along with access to the EV Readiness Incentive, gives you access to:- Free training on EV market trends, customer incentive programs, and more.
- Advertising perks like a listing on our Find a Pro tool, promotion through Efficiency Vermont’s campaigns, and up to $1,500 annually in co-op funding to support EV advertising.
- A dedicated Account Manager available for one-on-one technical assistance.
How to Enroll in the EEN:
- Contact us to request the participation agreement.
- Review and sign the EV Dealer Participation Agreement, and submit with the following:
- Copy of Dealer Registration Application form
- Historical sales data dating back to January 2019 or as far back as records exist
- W9 – required to receive financial incentives
- Efficiency Vermont Confidentiality and Information Management Systems (CIMS) agreement
- Attend an Efficiency Vermont EV Sales Training. At least two sales staff must attend.
EV Sales Rebate Program Terms and Conditions
- EV Sales Incentive offer is $600 per eligible vehicle, up to 50 vehicles per year.
- Incentive is for Efficiency Vermont Electric Vehicle Dealer Program Participating Dealers only. Participating Dealer must opt-in to receive EV Sales Incentive at the time of program enrollment.
- Participating Dealer must share at least 50% of the incentive with the salesperson who assisted the customer.
- Eligible vehicles are new or used plug-in electric vehicles (all-electric or plug-in hybrid) sold or leased by Participating Dealer during the period that Participating Dealer is enrolled in the Electric Vehicle Dealer Program and before December 31, 2025. Sales completed before Participating Dealer enrollment in the program are not eligible. Vehicle must be registered in the state of Vermont and sold to a Vermont customer to qualify for incentive. Lease must be 24 months or longer.
- Vehicles registered to a zip code in the City of Burlington (05401, 05402, 05405, 05406, 05408) are not eligible.
- Participating Dealer must submit sales submission within 60 calendar days from the date of sale or lease.
- Allow 60 calendar days for payment after Efficiency Vermont has approved your application.
- Participating Dealer can receive up to 50 EV Sales Incentives per calendar year.
- Efficiency Vermont reserves the right to audit Participating Dealer's sales submission to verify that the information submitted meets eligibility requirements. This may include requesting additional supporting documentation such as proof of registration, proof of sale/lease, or contacting the salesperson to verify they received at least 50% of the incentive.
