Transportation accounts for the largest proportion of Vermont's GHG emissions, making the electrification of vehicles a primary tactic for fighting climate change and meeting Vermont's climate goals.

But are Vermont's drivers ready? How do we encourage Vermonters to go electric with their next vehicle purchase?

This third-party, quantitative research study will help collaborators in the electric vehicle space understand how Vermonters perceive their current vehicle, elucidate upon their shopping behaviors, and assess the awareness, motivations, and barriers to EV adoption.

This data also looks at the variance between rural and “urban” populations, and through in-depth qualitative interviews, delves into the experience and perceptions that limited income and BIPOC Vermonters have of electric vehicles.
