Zero Energy Modular home serves as ‘pop-up’ venue for energy workshops

Bellows Falls, VT

An innovative zero energy modular (ZEM) home that generates as much energy as it uses will call Bellows Falls home this summer, serving as a venue for free public workshops aimed at helping residents and business owners save energy, lower costs, and reduce carbon emissions. The ZEM home will be located in the Waypoint Center parking lot at 17 Depot Street from June 8 through Aug. 5.

 Event Schedule:

 ZEM Home Weekly Open House

When:              Each Wednesday, 2 p.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. June 8-Aug. 5

What:               Public tours of home to explore technologies like heat pumps, solar, and batteries. Efficiency Vermont Consultant on hand to offer advice to cut energy costs.

Slash Your Energy Bills Workshop

When:              Tuesday, June 11, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

What:               Professional advice for reducing energy bills with low-cost efficiency improvements.
