As building owners and design teams pursue lower-carbon, more energy-efficient buildings, HVAC system selection has become an increasingly critical design decision. Design professionals must balance occupant comfort, energy performance, mechanical space requirements, operating costs and evolving code requirements while also supporting building electrification goals.
Modern heat pump technologies are increasingly being evaluated as part of this transition because they offer an opportunity to reduce fossil fuel use while maintaining year-round heating and cooling performance across a wide range of building types.
