2021 EEC Rates
Save more for less
Efficiency Vermont is committed to advancing clean energy solutions that help you save money. The Energy Efficiency Charge (EEC) that appears on your electric bill each month helps us do that—enabling us to reduce the cost of efficient technologies, build our clean energy workforce, help businesses reduce operating costs, and do so much more.
In 2020, Efficiency Vermont proposed and received approval from the Public Utility Commission for a budget reduction that allowed us to avoid any increase to the EEC, keeping rates the same for 2021. Efficiency Vermont will continue to partner with Vermonters to help you invest in energy efficiency solutions that can save money, help families be more resilient, and keep us comfortable while we stay home and stay safe.
Investments Vermonters have made in energy efficiency since 2000 are expected to reduce over 12.5 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions over the life of those investments. That’s like taking all of Vermont’s cars off the road for 4.8 years.
