Commercial Lighting Update

Effective April 1, Efficiency Vermont will discontinue incentives for ENERGY STAR® lamps. Efficiency Vermont will maintain incentives only for ENERGY STAR connected / smart A-style bulbs, as well as ENERGY STAR fixtures and downlight fixtures and retrofit kits. There are no changes to rebates for DLC products on April 1st.

Due to their high market adoption, reduced costs over time, and improved LED quality, the need for incentives on ENERGY STAR screw-based bulbs has decreased. This includes ENERGY STAR omnidirectional, globe, candle / decorative, R/BR/PAR 38 and 40, and R/BR/PAR 16, 20, and 30.

All effective dates for the SMARTLIGHT instant discount program continue to be based on invoice date. Exceptions will not be made for backordered products.

As a reminder, there were rebate changes for other commercial lighting products that took effect on February 1st and March 1st, 2020. Click on the following links for more details on the February 1st and March 1st rebate changes.
