Work with an Efficiency Excellence Network contractor to improve your home's insulation and air sealing — ensuring occupants' comfort, health, and safety — and get up to $9,500 off project costs. Income-eligible households can also get up to $15,000 for home repairs that are necessary before weatherization. You may also be eligible for federal tax credits to help offset the cost of these projects.

- Offer is for existing single-family Vermont residences (including short term rentals). Owners of rental properties with one - four units are also eligible - see eligibility details. Multifamily properties with five units or more may be eligible for Building Performance.
- A participating Efficiency Excellence Network (EEN) contractor must oversee the work and complete a blower door test before work is started.
- Project must achieve minimum air leakage reduction of 10% (as measured by a pre- and post-blower door test), and installation of all recommended health and safety improvements.

Details:
- Receive 75% of project costs back, up to $4,000.
- Vermont residents whose annual household income falls at or below moderate-income guidelines are eligible for 75% of project costs back, up to $9,500.
- Vermont residents whose annual household income falls at or below low-income guidelines are eligible for 90% of project costs back, up to $9,500. Free services are also available through local weatherization organizations to low-income Vermont residents who meet income eligibility guidelines.

- Review household income to determine eligibility for enhanced incentives.
- Contractor completes work and submits to Efficiency Vermont for review.
- Complete income verification to confirm incentive amount.
- Receive up to $4,000 back, or up to $9,500 for income-eligible Vermonters.
