RDC Enhanced Incentive Program

Efficiency Vermont, in partnership with Vermont’s Regional Development Corporations, is offering enhanced financial incentives for qualified energy efficiency projects. If your business has been negatively impacted by Covid-19 or other market issues and you have electrical energy efficiency projects that you needed to put on hold, Efficiency Vermont could pay 90% of project costs, up to $40,000. These enhanced incentives are only available for projects that complete in 2021. This offer is available on a rolling basis. This offer is not eligible for Burlington Electric Customers.

You can fill out the application online or download the form and send to info@efficiencyvermont.com. If you are a BED customer you can fill out the application form online and Efficiency Vermont will forward your application to BED or simply download the form and send it to efficicency@burlingtonelectric.com.

We highly encourage applications to be submitted as soon as possible as funding for this initiative is limited and we anticipate a highly competitive process. In the event that your application is unable to be approved under this enhanced incentive initiative, Efficiency Vermont will still support and incentivize all energy efficiency projects to the greatest degree possible – working with you to understand your needs and provide all support possible to advance your energy efficiency goals.

Q & A's

A: Yes, if the project is not yet completed.

Q: What types of projects are eligible?
A: Any project that increases electrical efficiency. Projects that only save thermal fuels (e.g., oil, natural gas, propane, wood) are not eligible.

Q: Will incentives ever be less than 90% of project costs is the total incentive is less than $40k?

A: Yes, schools can submit a project, but if their project is eligible for the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) grant they should submit their project via that program. IAQ projects for schools will not be accepted into the RDC initiative.
