RESNET HERS Rater Training- SPRING 2023

HERS Rater Training is the first step towards Rater Certification. Virtual HERS rater training classes have two parts, both parts are required for Rater Certification:

• Online modules: May 15-26, M-F 9am-Noon and W 1pm-4pm. 36 hours of webinar instruction covering all of the building science, energy modeling, and performance testing. A minimum of 8 (of the 12) sessions must be attended live. However, sessions will be recorded and in the event that a few must be missed, they can be watched later. In addition to the hours outlined above, students should also budget time for up to 2 hours of homework per night. 
  
  This section is available as a stand-alone option for anyone who wants to know about ratings but does not want to become a rater. Cost: $750.
  
  
• Five-day Practical Training: June 5-9, 8:30am-5pm on Zoom, covering the hands-on training and testing that is necessary to prepare to pass the rater exams. Learning equipment usage with blower door and duct blaster.
