In this time of low oil prices and beneficial electrification, how and why is advanced wood heat is still relevant? Session will look at the big-picture regarding the scale of Vermont’s dependence on fossil fuel heating and make the case for the role wood heating can play (in conjunction with other technologies) to help dramatically reduce our use of fossil heating fuels.

Vermont’s ambitious renewable energy goals require significant replacement of fossil fuel heating with renewable heating. We will introduce the basic concepts of meeting those goals with advanced wood heat. Primary emphasis will be placed on best applications and best practices.
