Let’s make school happy, healthy and smart.
Project Green School is a collaboration led by Efficiency Vermont and the Vermont Superintendents Association’s School Energy Management Program (VSA-SEMP) to help create sustainable and healthy schools for all Vermonters.
As a gateway to Project Green School, Efficiency Vermont and VSA-SEMP are committed to helping all Vermont K-12 schools who aspire to reach “high-performance school” status as defined by ENERGY STAR. Achieving this designation demonstrates to all stakeholders a measurable and public commitment to a high quality learning and working environment and superb stewardship of taxpayer and environmental resources.
Project Green School is for schools that:
- Strive to make their school more efficient, more comfortable, and healthier for everyone.
- Want to reduce their energy or energy-related maintenance costs.
- Seek to engage their students and staff with opportunities that foster leadership, develop core skills, and lead to action and measurable results.
- Desire to achieve the ENERGY STAR standard to demonstrate taxpayer value through an energy efficient, healthy facility.
