Burlington is a beautiful college town on the shore of Lake Champlain (our offices overlook the lake and the Adirondack Mountains), just 30 minutes from skiing or hiking in the Green Mountains. As the largest city in Vermont, Burlington also has an unbelievable number of restaurants and cultural events. Big-city urges are also easily accommodated - Montreal is just a 90-minute drive, and Boston is four hours away by car.

Directs, manages and provides guidance for all evaluation work related to the Efficiency Vermont contract. This will include managing the development of demand-side resource measure characterizations, our annual savings claim verification process, input on Vermont Department of Public Service's evaluation planning and work, development of measurement and verification plans and procedures for participation in the ISO-New England forward capacity market, and identification and development of internal market research tasks and/or other forms of evaluation. Serves as the primary liaison for EVT evaluation and technical issues with staff for the Vermont Public Service Board and the Vermont Department of Public Service. Also provides strategic technical guidance on evaluation issues addressed through the consulting work of VEIC's Planning and Evaluation group.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, public policy, eight years of technical experience with energy efficiency and/or renewable energy programs; and five years of management experience, or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills were acquired. Desired technical experience includes research, measure characterization, economic analysis of measures and programs, excellent knowledge of statistics and statistical analytical methods, as well as process and impact evaluation design, implementation, and analysis. Management experience includes leadership, facilitation, staff supervision, contracts, process design and implementation, project management, primary client liaison relationships, communications and the ability to develop and attain goals.

While working for VEIC, and representing the Efficiency Vermont contract, you will help to identify and develop energy efficiency opportunites within Vermont. This exciting position is responsible for spurring energy savings in commercial and industrial markets, by reaching and partnering with some of Vermont?s leading businesses. Responsibilities include: identifying key customers, developing outreach and efficiency investment strategies, uncovering efficiency opportunities specific to individual customers? needs and developing those opportunities to the project level, comprehending and conveying technical information to a broad audience, and persuading stakeholders to move ahead with efficiency investments. Coordinates with internal technical project managers on larger projects and independently performs small electrical savings projects.
Requirements: BS in business, 3 years experience and demonstrated success in business development strategy and implementation; or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills were acquired. Seasoned professional in large account management in a client-based, trade ally, or B2B type relationship. Position will also require attending and speaking at various meetings and events. Proficiency in presentation, written and oral communications. Experience with contact management software, highly developed organizational skills and a professional demeanor required. Ability to work independently and remotely from a home office. Experience in energy-related business a plus. Work will be focused largely within, but not limited to, Southern Vermont (Bennington, Rutland, Windham, and Windsor counties)
