Celebrating Excellence in Energy-Conscious Building Design
Announcing Efficiency Vermont's 2009 Design Competition: Energy Efficiency in Buildings. Posters and registration forms are due November 14, 2008.
This competition recognizes innovative and integrated design approaches that promote energy efficiency in Vermont's commercial, institutional, industrial, and multifamily buildings.
Eligible projects must be new construction or gut-rehab, located in Vermont, and substantially completed between January 1, 2005 and December 31, 2008.
This year's competition has two categories, one for small buildings (<20,000 sq. ft.) and one for large buildings (≥20,000 sq. ft.). The top project in each category will receive the award for Best Integrated Design Solution for Energy Efficiency.
All entries are required to be submitted in poster format. Posters will be showcased at Efficiency Vermont's Better Buildings by Design Conference on February 11 and 12, 2009, at the Sheraton Conference Center in Burlington, Vermont.
Winners will be notified during the first week of January 2009, and all award-winning entries will be featured on the Efficiency Vermont web site. We will also seek to promote winning entries in trade publications as well as in local and statewide media. Selected winners may be featured in magazines and other publications.
