How much does a Button Up workshop cost?

Attending and hosting a Button Up workshop is free. Community Action Council of Central Vermont (CVCAC) and Efficiency Vermont are partnering to bring Button Up Vermont Workshops to Vermonters across the state.

How long is the workshop?

The workshop takes just around 2 hours, including time for Q & A. You’ll get energy information from a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified presenter, and you’ll leave thinking about the ways you can make your own house or small business more comfortable and affordable.

What will I learn at a Button Up Vermont workshop?

  • The big picture: What kind of energy do we use to heat and cool our homes in Vermont? How much does it cost? How can we save?
  • Advice from the experts: Should you hire a contractor or can you do it yourself?
  • Get better results from your home energy efficiency project with an integrated, whole-house approach to reducing your home’s energy use.

Who’s presenting Button Up Vermont?

Each Button Up workshop is presented by a local BPI certified professional. The workshop presentation has been developed by CVCAC, in partnership with Efficiency Vermont, to help every Vermonter find ways to make their homes more comfortable, more affordable and more energy-efficient.

What if I don’t see a workshop near me?

You can host a workshop in your community. We are looking for Button Up hosts; if you are interested in hosting a Button Up Vermont workshop, contact us. Local presentations are hosted by community energy groups, nonprofit organizations, businesses, fuel dealers, and others interested in helping their community use less energy.
